Summary
This operating procedure is developed to provide a functional description for the position of Shipping and Receiving Partner. The primary function of the Shipping and Receiving Partner is to prepare outgoing shipments, receive incoming shipments and assist with all will-call orders. Finding, moving and packing orders for shipment and maintaining an organized inventory of finished goods. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Pulls and/or packs product based on daily orders.
Meets specifics of customer orders in a timely manner.
Keeps products separated, organized and in good rotation.
Re-package or re-box finished goods per order instructions
Compares quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct. Sign necessary documents to ensure record keeping along with the usage of system scripts. Efficiently moves product into outbound delivery vehicles.
Operates various pieces of equipment (i.e. Pallet Jack Dolly Loader, Pallet Wrapper, Powered Industrial Trucks, and Electrical Pallet Jacks). Promptly reports any maintenance needs.
Maximizes space usage. Properly and safely puts away items in the proper location onto the racks following company processes and procedures.
Utilizes continuous improvement mindset and assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
For inbound shipments, counts all products, take weight, compares to manifest and checks all shipments for damage, shortage, overage and any other discrepancies. Reports shortages, damages and/or discrepancies on appropriate forms. Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to assigned storage locations.
Receives and processes returned material for replacement or credit
Maintain an organized inventory of finished goods following the processes in place and using the FIFO method
Complies with the proper use of scanners for inventory and order accuracy
Monitors products quality and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
Assists in physical inventory counts
Maintain an acceptable pace of production in order to achieve daily shipping goals
Practice and adhere to Company protocols for quality control
Maintains equipment and ensures warehouse areas are neat, clean of debris and in an orderly fashion. Operates equipment safely and efficiently. Complies with all local, company and OSHA standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.

This position reports to the Warehouse Manager.

Education And/Or Experience
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Physical Demands
BODY POSITIONS: Includes climbing, balancing, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, grasping, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and handling. The maximum amount of weight required to be lifted will be less than 70 pounds.
BODY SENSES: Must have command of the senses of sight, hearing, speech, and touch. Must be able to see (20/20 vision with glasses) and hear (with mechanical assistance if necessary) sufficient to understand and comprehend individual one-on-one conversations. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This position will be working primarily indoors in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse. Exposure to warehouse environment such as noise, dust, odors and fumes, chemicals and adhesives.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration. Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
May be required to go outside for the purpose of loading or unloading, which may be hot, cold, wet, and dirty.
Overtime is required frequently.
